Our Preschool Program

Our day begins with our friends arriving at 9 am. There are three amazing rooms of activity: The Blue Room (our youngest friends), The Green Room (our 3-4 year old friends), and the Yellow Room (our 4-5 year old friends). Each room has two groups of teachers and two groups of friends. At the start of each day, one group starts in our multi-faceted fun play yard (with play structures, padded grounding, vintage playhouse, al fresco art studio, elaborate sand areas, and home to Simon – the cutest rabbit in the world). The other group begins in the classroom, fully outfitted with the comforts of home, complete with family photos and much, much more. The rooms also have their own unique features, like Blue Room’s super light table, Green Room’s sky loft, and Yellow Room’s expansive grassy outdoor area. Our classes switch places mid-day, then all come together by room for lunch and play with both groups of friends. Then at 12:45 pm our parents and caretakers come and pick up our friends after a wonderful day of connection and learning.

Extended Day Programs

For those families and children who desire or require extended care, either on a regular basis or per need basis, we provide early morning and afternoon extended day programs. Enrollment for one, or both programs, can be part of your contract (at a discounted rate), or, if space allows, parents may choose to sign up a child daily, to be paid at time of service. Sign-up sheets for extended care are available in the preschool office.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club program runs from 8 am to 9 am, Monday – Friday. It consists of unstructured, supervised playtime in the designated classroom and includes breakfast (pancakes, toast, warm or cold cereal, etc.). Sample activities include: Puzzles, board/card games, building, light table explorations, drawing/art, pretend play, book center time, and manipulatives.

Fun Club

The Fun Club program is from 12:45 pm to 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. It consists of a mixture of structured and unstructured time, indoor and outdoor play, rest/storytime, and includes a small snack. Fun Club children are supervised by one or more of our regular staff members. Fun Club dismissal is at, or before (depending on family’s needs) 3:30 pm. Sample activities in addition to play yard fun include: Science and art explorations, movement & dramatic play experiences, water, playdough, gak, clay, old-fashioned film projectors, woodworking, cooking, dramatic play set ups (post office, restaurant, veterinarian) and more!

If you need same-day Fun Club coverage, please make sure to call in before 12:15 pm to allow us time to organize and coordinate for your child to be included. You may leave a message on the preschool answering machine if no one answers.
