New here?
Here at Palisades Methodist, we are focused on being the arms of Jesus reaching out into our community and the world. You’ll find us to be a multi-generational group of people, open and welcoming to all. The atmosphere is come-as-you-are casual. Each season there is a new message series, and every Sunday you’ll hear an encouraging message about a God who is crazy about you. There are active kids programs for all students – and learners of all ages.
We’re glad you’re here.
What time is your Sunday service?
We offer our Sunday service at 10 am so most people have time for a relaxing morning before church and entire day afterward to enjoy the sunshine or whatever your day holds. The service lasts one hour where you’ll experience a traditional service with—complete with organ, choir, hymns, and a formal liturgy—in our Sanctuary plus our Praise Band to kick things off with heartfelt praise and worship.
How do I get to Palisades Methodist?
We’re located conveniently close to the 10 and PCH.

Turn left up the canyon, then make a right onto Sunset Blvd. Turn right at the first light, which is Via de la Paz. We’re two blocks toward the bluffs/ocean on the right. Street parking is available as is a lot behind the church.
From the 405: Exit at Sunset Blvd. Take Sunset all the way through Brentwood to the Pacific Palisades. Just past the village, turn left at Via de la Paz. We’re two blocks toward the bluffs/ocean on the right. Street parking is available as is a lot behind the church.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Sunday mornings at Palisades Methodist are a breath of fresh air. It’s a casual, hometown environment. Greeters will welcome you and ushers will hand you a copy of our weekly bulletin – full of events and classes for you to take part in. Once you take your seat, it’s going to be an enjoyable hour of celebrating Christ’s love in music, speaking, and prayer.
The first Sunday of the month we join in communion. We welcome everyone who wishes to join in this sacrament and don’t turn anyone away. For the rest of the month, we take the time to share praise and prayer requests together. This is one of our most unique and cherished times because we can learn more about each other and create genuine bonds in Christian community.
After the service, stick around for our Coffee Fellowship time with lemonade, coffee and confections. Then wander upstairs for Pastor’s in-depth teaching class for an interesting study and open discussion. Childcare is available during this time.
What should I wear?
When you enter a worship service at Palisades Methodist, you’ll notice diversity in what people wear. Some prefer a suit coat and trousers or a casual dress, while others prefer jeans and a nice tee shirt. It’s totally up to you.
What will my kids experience?
You are welcome to bring your children with you in the service. There are activity packets in the Narthex (entry area) for those who wish to stay in the service.
There is a children’s time at the altar steps for toddlers through 2nd Graders toward the beginning of the service. After this time the children follow the Sunday School teachers to respective class rooms. After listening to the announcements and the Chancel Choir, all other students are welcome to follow their teachers to their respective classrooms upstairs.
We work to ensure that your children come to a safe, fun environment. When your kids enter our program on Sunday morning, they will experience solid Biblical learning and socialization with peers. Our dedicated volunteer staff strives each week to guarantee Sunday is the best hour of the week.
Do you have something for students?
Absolutely. If you’re a Middle School or High School student, Palisades Methodist is the place to be! Ms. Lori Frangipane leads the 3-5 grade, Pastor Chris heads up the Middle School students and Ms. Joey Hargrove leads the Senior High. All groups enjoy fun worship and activities – and best of all, connection time encountering God.
We hope that you will join us this Sunday so you can experience Palisades Methodist for yourself. See you soon!
