Children

Our children’s program is one of our biggest attractions. Methodist provides a loving, creative environment for infants through 5th Graders during the Sunday 10 am service, including care during the Adult Sunday School hour immediately following worship. Safe, nurturing childcare is provided for infants and toddlers, while preschoolers and elementary kids enjoy exciting music, creative projects and more. We build on our rich heritage to provide a strong foundation for your children to grow in their faith and have tons of fun at the same time.

Mid-Week Programs

We are excited about providing mid-week, after school fun and spiritual growth opportunities for kids in our area. For nearly 10 years now, this program has been a highlight of kids weeks. That’s why it continues to expand each year. Please join us! Enrollment is open all year.

Treasure Island | Mid-week

Preschool ages 4 and up meet Wednesdays from 12:45 pm to 2 pm.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade meets on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Kids enjoy games, crafts, Bible stories – and snacks, of course. Pickup is available for Palisades Elementary School students after school.

Captain’s Club | Mid-week

Wednesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm, elementary children 3rd through 5th grades meet for game time, homework time, snacks and Bible study. Captain’s Clubber’s also enjoy dinner and worship time.

Acolytes (Candle Lighters)

This is a special opportunity for 1st through 5th graders to be involved in the Worship Service. Acolytes light and extinguish the candles before and after the service. It is a centuries old tradition symbolic of Christ’s light being brought into the church for worship.

Children’s Choir

Meets seasonally on Sundays from 11:15 am to 12 pm. For kindergartners through 5th grade. All you need is a desire to sing and have FUN!

August 3-day Retreats - for Captain’s Club kids, Junior High and Senior High.

Three-day Weekend Retreat at Camp Wrightwood in the Angeles National Forest. Workshops, small groups, crafts, plus swimming, hiking and lots of great food.
